THE Coleambally-Argoon Branch of the CWA will mark the first NSW and ACT CWA Awareness day with a showcase of CWA activities and a birthday celebration.
The inaugural awareness day is an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the local branch in the community, as well as at regional and state level.
The event will be held at the Coleambally Community Club from 2pm to 3.30 pm on Wednesday, September 8.
Coleambally Central School students will be presenting their country of study research.
Those in attendance will also have the opportunity to take part in some hands-on scrap booking activities.
The guest speaker for the afternoon will be Gillian Kirkup, a Ricegrowers board member and CWA member.
There will also be a showcase of the work and achievments of the local branch over years, and of course afternoon tea CWA style.
The event will also be an opportunity for the local
branch to celebrate its 37th birthday.
Local members would love the whole community to come along and experience how great CWA is and how much work it has achieved.
