Bill Booth of Booth and Associates and Rodney Price of Four Arrows will be on hand to discuss “where to from here”, for the Four Arrows Ethanol Plant development.
Chamber of Commerce president Lyn Stuckings is urging everybody in the community to attend and have their say on the proposal.
“We should try and keep the tone of the meeting positive as it is the brightest light on the horizon we have had in the last few years,” she said.
“We all should be supporting
Four Arrows as they have already spent thousands of dollars on this project.
“Interested people should come along and ask when they can start tendering for contracting work and jobs and also encouraging people to live in Coleambally and not travel from larger centres.”
Murrumbidgee Shire Mayor Phil Wells is encouraging the community to speak up about job prospects associated with the project which is tipped to attract professionals such as veterinarians and scientists as well as labourers and stock handlers.
“Grain will need to be maintained and looked after, there could be an opportunity for millers who lost their jobs during the rice mill closure,” Mr Wells said.
