Ms Elelman is best known for her work on radio and television, including Good Morning Australia, Hinch and Beauty and the Beast but has since become a celebrated author and magazine columnist.

She is a long-time supporter of The Spastic Centre and has been actively involved in Cerebral palsy awareness campaigns for many years.

Ms Elelman will speak at Australia Day ceremonies in Coleambally and Darlington Point.

Coleambally celebrations, presentations and activities will be held at McInnes Square, Coleambally starting at 8 am for breakfast – $2 per head (pre-schoolers free) for cooked Aussie breakfast.

Entries for both the “best decorated bike/scooter with an Aussie theme” competition for kids near Brolga on Mulga gallery, and the “Coly’s best lamington maker” competition for all ages at the shire office meeting room must be in by 8.30am to allow time for judging.

Australia Day colouring-in competition and creative writing competition prizes will be presented during the program.

Prizes have been sponsored by Coleambally Community Bank.

The official program, including presentation of various Australia Day competition prizes and community awards commended at 9am.

Darlington Point, celebration and presentations begin at noon at the Darlington Point CWA Park followed by a barbecue lunch.

Children’s activities include traditional games such as egg and spoon and three-legged races.

After the celebrations the Punt Hotel will provide entertainment and live music by local band DP Country.
