From Coly to Uluru, kids walk 2400km

09 Apr, 2008 11:45 AM
The children completed the last of the 4800 laps last Thursday and were very proud of their achievement.

Each day the children walked at least two laps of the school grounds, which

is equivalent to one kilometre per day. The money raised from this activity will be sent to Project Compassion – Caritas Australia, which supports communities around the world so that they can be empowered and help themselves.

The benefits of the walk have been twofold, the children have improved their own fitness levels as well as helping those in Australia and the world who are not as fortunate.

St Peter’s Primary school also celebrated Catholic Schools Week last week, with many activities held during the week. The students enjoyed showing their families the work they did last Thursday.
