Hogan is recognised

24 Aug, 2010 03:33 PM
TERRY Hogan AM leads a busy life trying to secure the future for communities across the region that rely on water for their survival.

He does this while also dedicating time to being the mayor of Jerilderie Shire.

Mr Hogan’s hard work and dedication on a regional scale has lead to him being the inaugural winner of the Robert Wilson OAM Award for service in progressing local government regional co-operation.

The award is given to an individual councillor or

council staff member for their effort in regional cooperation initiatives.

Mr Hogan was presented with the award at a local government function held in Bathurst in recognition of his work on the Jerilderie Shire Council, as well as role as RAMROC chairman and the Water4Food campaign.

As part of the award, a donation is made to a charity of the winner’s choice. Mr Hogan chose to donate the money to the Coleambally branch of Can Assist, which greatly appreciates the funds and congratulated Mr Hogan on the honour.
