Through its community fund, Riverina First provides grants of up to $2000 for individual projects, up to $5000 for projects involving multiple communities and up to $10,000 for significant regional projects where matching funds are available.
Riverina First Telecommunications Advisory Board chairman and Cootamundra Shire Council mayor Paul Braybrooks encouraged community groups to consider applying for the grant.
“Riverina First has now provided over $160,000 to community and not-for-profit groups throughout the Riverina region for an extremely diverse range of projects,” Mr Braybrooks said.
Riverina First covers the Bland, Carrathool, Coolamon, Cootamundra, Corowa, Greater Hume, Griffith, Gundagai, Hay, Jerilderie, Junee, Leeton, Lockhart, Murrumbidgee, Narrandera, Temora, Tumut, Tumbarumba, Urana and Wagga Wagga LGAs.

The Riverina First Community Fund Application forms can be downloaded from the website and are available from each local council office. The closing date for applications to be returned to local councils is May 9.
