Residents open homes to Austrian pilgrims

16 Jul, 2008 01:27 PM
NINE St Peter’s Parish Coleambally/Darling-ton Point families opened up their homes and offered christian hospitality to the Austrian pilgrims travelling for World Youth Day 2008.

The Days in the Dioceses program is a wonderful opportunity to help pilgrims travelling to this event as well as taste the cultural life of our beautiful towns.

The pilgrims were treated to local sights, including Altina WIldlife Park, a dinner and bush dance at Griffith, barbecue/Picnic at Tubbo Shearing Shed, a tour of the Ryan’s farm to view kangaroos and a dinner at Darlington Point Club with some cultural sharing and entertainment.

Locals that are attending World Youth Day 2008 are Father Grace, Bridget Ryan, Masing Vaughan, Hannah Toscan and Adam Tuesner.
