Supply of water up

18 Aug, 2010 06:56 PM
Rain in the Murrumbidgee Valley in late July and the first weeks of August has enabled the NSW Office of Water to increase high security allocations, including town water supply and stock and domestic entitlements to 95 per cent.

State Water said while there was not enough water available to make a general security allocation announcement at this stage, Monday’s announcement did not include inflows to the catchment from last week’s rain event.

General security will remain at zero per cent allocation with Coleambally irrigators able to access 5 per cent distribution allowance.
