Town outraged by vandalism

25 Jan, 2012 06:00 AM
Vandals have attacked the Coleambally cemetery, in an act believed to have occurred at the weekend.

Council workers found the mess when they arrived on Monday morning to work on the grounds.

A bench seat was burnt after garbage had been put on it and set alight and vases and ornaments that had been placed on loved ones’ graves had been broken and thrown around the cemetery.

Those with information on the incident are asked to contact Griffith police on 6969 4299.
