Riverina Vintage Machinery Club Inc will be hold its annual rally on August 21 and 22 at the Leeton Jockey Club grounds.
The rally is well-supported every year.
Lasy year it was staged held at Coleambally and had 130 tractors and 92 stationary engines, cars, trucks, motorbikes and memorabilia displays.
RVMC members come from all over the Riverina, including Leeton, Wagga, Narrandera, Coleambally, Yenda, Griffith, Jerilderie and Lockhart, to name a few.
On Saturday, a vintage tractor and vehicle trek will
leave the Leeton racecourse and will travel to Gogeldrie Weir for lunch and return to the racecourse via Yanco.
Pat Gullotta has arranged the trek as a Poker Run, participants will pay a $5 entry fee, which includes lunch and proceeds of the tractor trek will go to Leeton Can Assist
On Saturday and Sunday, vintage stationery motors, cars, trucks and motorcycles will be on display together with a variety of bygone memorabilia.
Refreshments will be available and craft Stalls will sell their wares.
A vintage tractor pull will be conducted on both days.
There will also be a live steam display and a working Clydesdale demonstration.
On Sunday, a vintage auction will be held with members
putting surplus items up for bidding.
This year’s major sponsor is Agastini Ag, and Country Energy is the major sponsor of the tractor pull.
See how it used to be done, education for the young or
nostalgia for those who can remember, but it will be two great days for the family.
Admission is $5 adults with children under 17 admitted
free.
