A combined team consisting of Chris Leonard, Colin Carter and Ann Leonard travelled to Hay Services Club’s first Greenkeeper’s Day tournament on Friday, July 18.

Twelve teams of three players each played two games over 12 ends in very cold weather. The results for the day were: First with 31 points, Darlington Point; second with 28 points, Hay Bowling and Golf Club, and third with 24 points, Coleambally.

Men bowlers are reminded that the draw for the singles of the club championships are on the noticeboard and are asked to play their games by the dates as listed per rounds.

Also note that this year there will be an added championship competition, this being mixed pairs, which will be played later in the season.

For all those men bowlers who ordered a new shirt and to date have not collected them, please do so as soon as possible from your secretary, not from the club.

For the men, there is a list of future games representing the club at away games, on the noticeboard, please submit your name if you are interested in playing any of these games this will save time in selectors having to ring around for players.

On Wednesday evenings indoor bowls are being played at the club in which everyone is welcomed to participate.

Names are requested to be submitted by 7pm and games start at 7.30pm and are finished by 9.30pm each evening. The are played at a cost of $3 each.

If any more information is required you may call Colin Carter on 6954 4034.

To all women bowlers, entries for the club championship pairs and singles close on August 7.

If you wish to enter please, put your name on the board at the club or contact secretary Alice Jones.
