Marty Dunbar and Alan McFarlane played Dave Gallagher and Vic Bellato, with the Dunbar-McFarlane combination taking victory.

Meanwhile, Chris Leonard and Kevin Coster played Lance Harland and Peter Dunbar, with the combination of Leonard-Coster winning.

This now brings on the second round which must be played by the end of Sunday, July 20 and the games are as follows.

Greg Geddes and Chris Mannes to play Marty Dunbar and Alan McFarlane; Barry Payten and Colin Carter to play and Chris Leonard and Kevin Coster.

Men bowlers are reminded the draw for the rest of the club championships is on the noticeboard and are asked to please play their games by the dates as listed per rounds.

Also note this year there will be an added mixed pairs championship competition to be played later in the season.

For all those men bowlers who ordered a new bowls shirt and have not collected them, please do so as soon as possible from your secretary, not from the club.

For the men, there is a list of future teams representing our club at away games on the noticeboard.

Please submit your name if you are interested in playing any of these games as this will save selectors having to ring around for players.

On Wednesday evenings indoor bowls is being played at the club – everyone is welcome to participate.

Names are requested to be submitted by 7pm; games start at 7.30pm and are scheduled to finish by 9.30pm each evening.
