Cold conditions during open play

30 Jun, 2010 11:29 AM
LAST weekend saw a busy couple of days for the Coleambally Golf Club, with events being played on both Saturday and Sunday.

The weekend started out in very cold and windy conditions on Saturday, with the playing of the Coleambally Mixed Open Day.

A 4BBB event was held which was won by Alistair Evens and Fay Schliebs with 48 points.

The runners-up were Daniel Whittred and Carolyne Rutledge on 42 points.

On Sunday, the Coleambally Men’s Open, which is sponsored by Pooginook Merino, was held with 51 players in attendance from various clubs around the region.

The day was a huge success for the local club and president Pat Brown would like to pass on his thanks to everyone who helped out with the course preparations, the ladies committee who helped out with catering and all others who contributed to the great day.
