Get in swing for charity

01 Sep, 2010 11:15 AM
THE local community is once again being invited to get in to the swing of things and organise partners for the 2010 Coleambally Police Charity Golf Day.

This year’s event will be a three-person ambrose and will be held on Saturday October 16.

Players of 18 holes will tee off between 8am and 10.30am and nine-hole players will follow.

Local policeman James Adam has again worked hard, and with the support of local businesses, has secured a host of great prizes for a monster raffle, as well as multiple minor raffles on the day.

Some select items, including signed guernseys from NRL clubs Parramatta and the Cowboys, a signed Sydney Swans guernsey and a framed Jim Beam racing shirt from V8 racing will be auctioned on the night.

There are also great golf prizes to be won.

Prizes in this year’s monster raffle include a set of tyres to the value of $500 from CIA Tyre Service, a

Blu-ray player, a NavMan and two family passes to Movie World.

This year’s event will benefit three local organisations, the Coleambally branch of Can Assist, Coleambally Central School and the golf club.

All three of these groups will be helping to organize and run the day.

The Police Charity Golf Day is a community fun day with all proceeds to be distributed locally.
