Golfers play through cold

LAST week lady golfers played a round of 18 holes in very cold conditions.

The winner of the medal competition on the day was Grace McCalman with 63 nett and Trish Clark coming in runner-up and Fay Schliebs and Eve Kerr winning the ball competition.

The RLGA Rudd Allen competition scratch winner was Fay Schliebs with Grace McCalman taking out runner-up.

The Country Vets competition was also decided, with Fay Schliebs winning division one, Trish Clark division two and Grace McCalaman division three.

The putting competition was won by Marg Naseby, while Elaine Gorey won the nine-hole round and Dorothy Meyer the putting. Cath Callaghan took home the raffle for the day.

Three local ladies also travelled to the RLGA Sandgreen Championships recently with Carolyn Martin coming home the equal winner of the event.

Mrs Martin also won the nett for the day.

Coming up for Coleambally golfers is the stroke competition on July 13 and the Culcairn tournament.
