LAST Tuesday the golfing ladies played an 18-hole stroke round for the Monie Burke Memorial Trophy.
The winner of the trophy was Grace McCalman with June Shields runner-up and Janine Evans and Marg Naseby winning the ball competition.
Mabel McKenzie Veterans’ Brooch was also contested, with the following winners: Fay Schliebs (Div 1), Trish Clark (Div 2) and Grace McCalman (Div 3).
The raffle of the day went to Dorothy Meyer.
Coming events for local golfers include the second round of the 27- hole championships to be played this Sunday, June 20 and the Coleambally Men’s Open Tournament to be played on Sunday June 27.
Next week the lady golfers will play in an Irish medley.
