SOCIAL bowls continues to be a hit in Coleambally, with 15 bowlers taking part in last Wednesday night’s games.
Winners on the night were Sharon Sutherland and Eve Kerr with a big win over Les Robinson and Jim Mansell.
On Friday night, the CIA Cup continued, with the following teams coming away with a win:- Mix Ups, Prickley Roses, Gaston Gaggers, Kookaburras, Hardy Roaders and Yamma Yackers.
The winner of the chooks on the night were Fats Five Skins, mainly due to newcomer Kim Mannes.
New bowlers are always welcome for any of the social competitions.
Pennants continued at the weekend with Coleambally hosting Leeton Soldiers Club. Unfortunately, the locals lost the day, only winning one rink with the team skipped by Graham Hardy.
Teams for next week’s pennant games are: Barry Payten, Graham Hardy and Greg Geddes, Colin Carter, Peter Dunbar and Kevin Coster, Les Robinson, Rob Kerr and Ian Wood and Brendan Schliebs, Barry Mannes and David Howard.
All teams are to meet at the Club by 8.45am to drive to Hay for an 11am start.
