On Saturday January 26 a pairs team attended the Riverina District Bowling Association President's Reserve Pairs Championship's Semi-finals at the Hay Bowling Club.
The team consisted of Barry Payten and Colin Carter who played Don Anderson and Gordon Hurst from the Hay Bowling Club and over 21 ends were beaten 24-15.
In the other semi-final game between Maurie Fruend, Rex Thomas and J Cresswell, Rod Harvey both from the Hay Bowling Club saw Fruend/Thomas combination win 23-20 and then in the final the Fruend/Thomas combination again won 24-21.
In February the RDBA Reserves Singles are to be played in Coleambally over the weekends of Saturday 2, Sunday 3 and Saturday 9, Sunday 10 so to all interested in seeing great bowling come along and support our local players who are partaking.
These are being: Colin Carter, Chris Leonard, Barry Payten, Kevin Coster, Graham Hardy, Lance Harland, Vic Bellato and David Howard.
On Saturday February 16 there will be a social game of 3 bowls triples played, consisting of two games over nine ends starting at 6pm, names must be in by 6.30pm, individual entries, more information to follow.
On February 7 at 4pm the Ladies section will be holding a general meeting, and then on February 13 at 6pm a special meeting is to be held before twilight bowls in which all members, men and women are invited.
