Twilight bowlers take to the green

On Saturday, February 16 St Peter’s Church held its social bowls afternoon of three bowls triples played over two games.

The top four teams, consisting of Chris Leonard, Pat Mannes, Jake Breed,

Maurie Ward, Judy Graham, Matthew Mannes, Alice O’Connell, John

Mannes, Mick Whelan, Judy Mannes, Jack Fraser and Colin Carter finished

the day only one point apart.

Wednesday, March 12, will see the annual CPAS charity bowls day held in aid of CanAssist.

The day will feature three games of 10 ends at a cost of $12.50 per player and will involve a light luncheon and high tea.

There is a list on the notice board in the club or you can contact Colin Carter on 6954 4034 by March 10 for entry.

Men bowlers are reminded to submit their teams for the club’s fours championships to the secretary before March 1.

These games will give selectors an opportunity to pick the club’s Pennants teams, which are to start playing on March 30, the first game against Leeton and District at Leeton.

Names are also to be submitted for the remaining club championship onto the list on the notice board as soon as

possible.
