THE Coleambally Netball Club commenced the 2010 season on the weekend, hosting CDHBU with all teams except Nettas taking to the courts.
Coleambally will be playing without a C Reserve team this year due to lack of numbers.
A grade proved to be a fighting team in a tough contest.
There have also been changes to this line up and, under coach, Kylie Mannes it will be looking forward to a successful season.
Standout players were Lauren Pound and Louise Robertson.
The Mods played hard all game and did really well despite the scoreline.
They have had quite a few changes to their team with some girls going up to juniors and other younger players moving up the ranks, which will mean that they will have to work hard on team work at training.
Coach Kim Mannes has lots of enthusiastic and talented youngsters playing for Nettas and Mods.
Molly Young and Emma Dunbar were standout players for the team.
The juniors did the best they could on the day and, like the Mods, will have to work hard at training with new coach Shona Black and some new players up from the Mods.
Standout players were Hannah Buchanan, Gemma Goudie and Megan Hayes.
C grade fought hard all game and, like the younger grades, is working with new combinations.
Melissa Donnellon has taken on the challenge of coaching the team with assistance from Sally McFadyen.
Standout players for the team were Ali Painting, Cassie Knight, Melissa Donnellon and Rebecca Boag.
B grade had to fight consistently all game to keep the first-quarter lead it worked so hard for.
The girls are off to a good start under new coach Charmaine Buchanan.
Standout players were Tara Pound, Shelayah McMillan, Paige Evans and Tamika Shaxson.

Next week the club will travel to Brokelsby to take on the Saints.
