Coly impressive on court

12 May, 2010 03:43 PM
COLEAMBALLY Netball Club hosted Billabong Crows on the weekend.

There were no games for Netta and Mods, so juniors started off the day and were very excited to notch up their first win for the season.

Winning by 13, the team combined well from start to finish and welcomed a new team member in Ellen Lyell.

The defenders were tight, the goal shooters were on target and the centre court players were often where they needed to be to keep the game flowing.

Standout players were Megan Hayes and Annie Mader. Thanks to Molly McFadyen for umpiring.

C grade also had its first win and the cheers of excitement could be heard echoing around the netball courts.

Standout players were Courtney White and Melissa Donnellon. Thanks to Paige Evens for umpiring.

B grade put in another excellent performance despite going down by five.

It played a fast game and continue to combine well.

Standout players were Acacia Mannes and Charmaine Buchanan. Thanks to Megan Posselt for umpiring.

A grade had another fast and exciting game, going down by 7.

Most of the game was goal-for-goal but the Crows got away during the last quarter.

Standout players were Megan Posselt and Kate Jones.

Thanks to Kim Mannes for umpiring.

The club will hold a casserole night at its next home game on May 22.
