Coly left cold by fired-up Howlong

23 Jun, 2010 12:57 PM
THE Coleambally Netball Club welcomed Howlong to a cold day on the courts last Saturday.

Unfortunately, there were no games for our Netta, Mods and Junior teams.

However, the girls were given the opportunity to play a well-organised scratch match, using a combination of players from all three grades.

The game was played in great spirit, as indicated by the result 11-10 scoreline.

A big thank you to the umpires and game organisers, Kim Mannes and Jessica Noack.

Training for these girls has been well attended and their attitude towards their netball is to be commended.

C grade was soundly beaten, however, they once again displayed great improvement all over the court.

With the shooters on target, the team managed its highest score for the season.

Standout players were Molly McFadyen and Kim Mannes.

Thank you to Tamika Shaxson for umpiring, particularly as it was her 18th birthday.

B grade went down by eight goals.

The girls look to be playing well but at times get caught up in the excitement of it all and forget to play their own style of game.

Standout players were Paige Evens and Maddie Mannes. Thank you to Jessica Noack for umpiring.

A grade went down by 11 goals but showed some good passages of play.

If the team was to show more consistency, it has the skills to get points on the board.

Standout players were Hannah Carroll and Lauren Pound. Thanks to Charmaine Buchanan for umpiring.

Just a reminder to senior netballers that training is every Thursday evening from 5.30pm.

Your attendance at training is vitally important to gain success on match days.
