COLEAMBALLY Netball Club played host to Murray Magpies on the weekend in wet conditions which were in contrast to the hot weather of the previous week.
The three younger teams missed out on playing as Murray Magpies did not bring their Nettas and they do not have Mods or juniors.
C grade struggled to get sufficient goals with the opposition dominating all over the court.
The home team had improved on the last time it met the Magpies when it was defeated by considerabley more goals.
Standout players for Coly were Elise North and Molly McFadyen.
B grade put in another strong effort but was unable to stop the opposition from compiling a match-winning score.
Standout players for Coly were Shelayah McMillan and Maddie Mannes.
A grade fought hard but was beaten by a stronger team on the day.
Coach Kylie Mannes was extremely pleased with the performance of the home team, which despite coming up against last year’s premier, played extremely well and showed determination right to the final whistle.
Standout players for Coly were Kate Jones and Jess Noack.
The club would like to thank umpires Shelayah McMillan, Jess Noack and Charmaine Buchanan.
Next week the club travels to Henty.
