DPC league tag girls claim their first victory

THE Darlington Point-Coleambally (DPC) league tag girls celebrated their first win for the season on Sunday after defeating Waratahs 3-2.

In what was a close game with some questionable umpiring the local girls tagged well and kept attacking the line.

Tryscorers for DPC were Cindy Boots – who scored on the wing from great team work and passing –Melissa Brady, diving on a kicked ball, and Alysia Hopwood, who weaved through the defence before sprinting to the line to

score.

The best and fairest award for the game went to Melissa Brady and Alysia Hopwood took out the player’ player award for the game.
