A NUMBER of Coleambally locals were selected recently to try out for the Hume league representative team to play in the inter-league carnival on the June long weekend.

Maddie Mannes was selected in the squad and attended a trial day on Sunday during which she was selected in the final team for the carnival.

She will now play in the 15 and under team at the Albury carnival.

Five young boys were asked to try out for the under 17 Australian rules team.

The players were Sam Casey, Lachlan Evans, Andrew Noack, Kelvin Shaxson and Michael Rutledge.

The first round of try outs were held last Sunday with another to be held this weekend before the final team is announced.

Coleambally player Andrew McGown was also selected in the squad for the senior team.
