COLEAMBALLY Netball Club travelled to Broklesby to play BB Saints in hot conditions last weekend.
Coleambally’s nettas played their first game for the season and came away with a win.
The girls have all improved their skills from last season and all played very well for the team’s win.
The award went to Grace Lyell for her effort all over the court.
Grace Tooth shot her first two goals in netball.
With her precise passing over the court, Annie Painting demonstrated why she was given best ball skills award in the eight years group at the recent Southern Sports Netball Development Camp at Wagga.
Molly Young was also awarded best ball skills in the 10 years group at the camp and Maddie Mannes was awarded the best attack and champion in the 14 years group.
A reminder that Net Set Go is held on Friday evenings, commencing at 5pm catering for the five to 10 year age group.
The juniors had another tough game and worked hard to keep up with their opponents, going down by nine points.
Standout players were Jemma Goudie and Alicia Hudson.
C grade met with a determined team and despite trying hard all game was unable to slow down its opposition.
Standout players were Courtney White and Shelayah McMillan.
B grade fought hard all day and went down by just two goals.
All the girls put in a big effort with standouts being Tara Pound and Maddie Mannes.
