THE 2008 netball season looks set to take an exciting new turn for Coleambally next year, with the team moving, along with the football club, to the Hume League, with additional grades being formed and a new look uniform introduced.
All girls, of any age, who want to play netball will have an opportunity to play next year with the addition of C Reserve and Netta grades.
The grades for next year are A, B, C, C Reserve, Under 17, Under 14, Under 11 and Netta (for the beginners). A bus will be provided in conjunction with the football club for junior players to travel away to games to give everyone the opportunity to play.
The Coleambally Netball Club annual general meeting will be held on January 9, 2008 at the Coleambally Bowling Club. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting and be part of a new era in netball at Coleambally.
The new uniform will also be on display on the night, giving people the opportunity to place their orders. The uniform orders will need to be placed early in the new year so that they are here well before the season starts.
The new uniform is for senior grades with the junior grades remaining with the current uniform.
The move to the Hume League is a chance for all netballers, particularly juniors, as the league is heavily involved in player development and every opportunity is provided for players to realise their full potential. The club is also looking for coaches for the 2008 season. Anyone who is interested in coaching, should call Kate Jones on 6954 4719.
