The first three quarters were very tight. Coleambally finished full of running and kicked five goals to two to finish 16.9.105 to 12.8.80.
Andrew McGown made a sensational debut in the new competition picking up plenty of possessions in the midfield and kicking three goals. Aaron Hardie was fantastic in the ruck opposed to Rand/Walbundrie’s two giant ruckman, while Damian Mannes and Carl Pound were prolific across the backline and midfield, giving plenty of opportunity to the Coly forwards.
Jason Heath was on fire in the forward line as Rand/Walbundrie struggled to find anyone capable of keeping up with his athleticism and pace as he went on to kick seven goals.

Coleambally seconds tried very hard but were a bit under- manned and were over run in the second half to be defeated 13.16.92 to 5.2.32.
Coly was best served by W Coster, S Mannes, J Lyell, C Noack and G Tooth.

The under 17s joined the winning list alongside first grade.
The boys came out firing and looked strong all day.
Josh Lyell kicked seven, Sam Casey three, Josh Shaw two, and T Murray two. Best Josh Shaw, T Fuller, K O’Malley, J Lyell, W Brain, T Clarke.
Under 14s lost their first game of the season but played well as a team with Andrew Noack kicking the goal of the day. Best players were Tom Morton, Tom Younger, K Shaxson and Andrew Noack.
