THE last round of the local group 20 junior rugby league competition was staged last Saturday, with the grand final to be held in Hay in two weeks.
The Coleambally-Darlington Point (CDP) under 14s win on Saturday against Hay secured them a spot in the grand final.
The team finished on a high, winning 22-4 after leading 6-4 at half-time.
Tryscorers for the day were Matt Wilson, Billy Robb, Josh Knight and Trey Eldridge with Blake Carroll converting.
Over the season the team has won nine of its 11 games to give it the minor premiership.
The under 7s junior Roosters will also play in the grand final.
Next week the local teams travel to Junee for its annual schoolboys carnival.
This was a highly successful carnival for the local club last year and it is hoped that CDP will have another successful carnival this year.
