COLEAMBALLY Pistol Club has started the year on a high, with the installation of brand new facilities over the Christmas break.
The new shooting shelter is nearing completion with funds needed to be raised to concrete the floor.
With the virtual completion of the shelter structure, the club has now increased the range capacity to 15 participants, which allows plenty of room to welcome new members who wish to come and have a try.
Automated targets were built and installed over the break, giving the club the ability to now shoot three different Olympic matches.
A big thanks goes to Narrandera and District Pistol Club which has loaned an automated range timer which has allowed the facility to be operational much sooner than expected.
The club would also like to extend thanks to all the members who helped get this far in such a short time, with such dedication and hard work.
Personal thanks go to Laurie and Joan Patterson, Coly Hire and Sales, Narrandera and District Pistol Club, Colybuilt Transportables and Trav’s Kanvas.
The club’s Christmas raffle was drawn on December 21 at the Coleambally Community Club and the lucky winners were: first prize Tom White; second Tim Strachan; and third prize Dan Tuohey.
The club thanks the sponsors for the prizes and everyone who bought tickets in the raffle.
Currently some members have been visiting other pistol clubs in an effort to see what facilities they have and to decided what is needed at the local range.
Through this the club hopes to start some new and very exciting matches in the coming months.
