Great turn out for swim club meet

13 Feb, 2008 10:18 AM
It was great to see the kids trying the longer distances and puting in lots of effort.

Our special guest from Riverina Swimming, Mr Chris Hayes, was most impressed with the huge turnout and the great support from the parents.

He instructed the children on how to start properly using the whistle as well as the gun, which is great preparation for the carnivals.

He also spent a lot of time with our two coaches discussing stroke correction and how to help the children improve.

It was great to have him visit our club.

The backstroke poles can now be secured and are working well, thanks to Steve Fattore of S&K Engineering for

donating his time and equipment to improve them.

Thanks again to all parents who continually step in and help each week.

Please remember to fill out the sheets at the pool or register before 5.00pm Fridays if you wish to race, this will assist us to start on time.

There will be no barbecue this week due to the CCS swimming carnival.
