Swimmers hit the pool under cloudy skies

10 Feb, 2010 10:35 AM
WITH rain clouds hanging overhead, there was no dampening of swimmers’ enthusiasm at last week’s Coleambally Swimming Club meet.

Many members continue to improve their times, with Olivia Rawson taking 16 seconds off her 25-metres freestyle personal best.

Annie Painting took seven seconds off both her 25-metre freestyle and backstroke PBs.

Grace Tooth has also reduced her 25m backstroke time by 16 seconds, and Jonah and Sally Foster took nine seconds off for the same event.

Three of the older members have taken significant time of their personal bests.

Matthew Mannes was able to take nine seconds off his 100m freestyle time, Billy Robb reduced his 50m freestyle time by eight-and-a-half seconds and Mitchell Dunbar bettered his 50m breaststroke by 13 seconds.
