The gym is now under a brand new committee who are keen to see the gym grow in member size and equipment.
The new Committee are excited about 2016 and hope that more community members come along to use the gym and help grow the facility.
The Committee under President Karen Hodgson will be working in the new year looking for funding opportunities that will grow the gym.
“We would like to give a big thank you to Ryan McGoldrick and Rosanna Tempest who were instrumental in setting up the gym,” she said.
“Also a massive thanks goes to the Darlington Point Coleambally Rugby League Club who donated a considerable amount of money to the set up of the gym.”
Memberships are now available for 2016 on a six month basis.
The gym will be operating as a not-for-profit enterprise and all income will go towards paying for utilities and rent as well purchasing new equipment.
Members will be invited to give feedback to the committee on ideas for the gym and equipment that will help to attract more members.
Membership forms are available at the Coleambally Community Bank with Sarah Hardy or can be accessed on the Sweatbox Gym facebook page.
Community members can also contact Karen on 0427544521 or Sarah on 0457903870 or email sweatboxgym@hotmail.com.
