“You’ll see him in a Roosters jersey this season,” DPC president Steve Hogan.
It seems McGoldrick is looking to settle down in Coleambally after he was spotted checking out some property around town.
“We enjoyed our time thoroughly out there and it’s a pretty good place to bring him (new-born son) up,” McGoldrick said.
“If I’m out here then I’d definitely have a run.”
It’s safe to say current DPC captain-coach Clinton Green’s job is safe for now.
“It’ll be good to come back just as a player,” McGoldrick said.
Hogan said it would be a huge gain for the club.
“He’ll be an asset for us, especially in developing some of the youngsters,” he said. “Ryan’s not coming back to take anyone’s position, it would be more a mentoring role.”
McGoldrick will have to work hard if he wants to see time in first grade.
“He doesn’t look that fit any more,” Hogan joked.
“He’d definitely start off in reserves.”
It also seems as though once England decided to leave the European Union, one of the Roosters’ favourite sons decided to leave too. Josh Veivers is back in town, but even with him at fullback DPC couldn’t get the win over West Wyalong on the weekend. They fell 22-8.
