The day doubled as Ladies Day as the club banded together to raise money for MS Australia.
This foundation held a special place for a few Blues’ hearts.
“Graham and I decided to donate to MS because mum suffered from it,” Lauren Pound said. “It was just a way to give back.”
From the takings on the ground alone, they raised $1000.
“It’s hard to know exactly how much you’re going to raise,” Ms Pound said.
“We got a few hundred dollars from the raffle alone.”
With some memorable Ladies Days in years gone past, it was always going to be hard to beat previous totals.
“I’d say it was about on par with how the Ladies Days have gone in the past,” Ms Pound said.
The $1000 being donated will no doubt be getting a significant boost once it’s all totalled up.
That night, for every drink bought at the Brolga Hotel, 50 cents went to MS Australia.
A total of $340 was collected from the pub. A big thank you must go to Daniel Griffiths from the pub, the ladies within the club and all who supported the day.
