After a challenging first game back last week after being on the end of a Trevor Richards masterclass, Coly needed to bounce back to maintain its position inside the top four.
The Nomads headed into the game knowing a win would see them jump in front of Hanwood into third place.
The visitor won the toss and elected to bat and set about trying to set a competitive total.
The openers got Hanwood off to a good start with Ryan McWhirter (21) and Reed Bunyan (10) scoring well before Sam Casey (1/12) claimed the wicket of Bunyan.
Shaun Iddles (3/14) continued his good form with the ball picking up the next two wickets in quick succession to have Hanwood struggling at 3/26.
It was the consistent falling of wickets proving costly for Hanwood as they fell to 7/59.
Max Turner (31) and Anthony Kidman (7) made the first meaningful partnership for Hanwood putting on 29 before Chris Hayes (2/6) struck.
Hanwood reached the end of their allotted overs with a score of 9/109 thanks to some late hitting from Brett Docherty (13*).
The Nomads made a good start in the chase with Cooper Smith and Jack Weymouth-Smith (60*).
When Smith (2) fell it brought James Lyell (9) to the crease and with Weymouth-Smith they put on 28 runs moving the Nomads closer to the total.
The run rate never got out of control for the Nomads as Weymouth-Smith was supported well by Zac Leach-Deahm (14) before he was bowled by Will Lyons (1/17)
The fall of wicket brought Casey to the crease where he provided an almost run-a-ball 14 to help Weymouth-Smith carry the bat and his team to a seven-wicket victory with 11 overs remaining.
In first grade, Exies secured a comfortable win over Yenda.
After winning the toss and sending Yenda into bat, Exies looked to make some early inroads.
Campbell Jeremy (6) and Simon Spiers (7) put on a 16-run opening partnership before Marc Tucker (2/12) took the wicket of Jeremy.
The constant fall of wickets was the issue for Yenda as it lost the next five wickets for only 10 runs.
Jason Causer (9) tried to put some runs on the board however when he was bowled by Jamie Winkler (1/0) Yenda were all out for 38 off 24 overs.
Connor Bock was the best of the Exies bowlers and finished with figures of 3/5 while Coleambally’s Tom Fuller also picked up two wickets.
In reply, Exies lost two wickets, Craig and Phil Burge (5), however, Tucker (11*) and Jimmy Mann (2*) passed the target in the seventh over.
