After the two semi-finals, only one of the top two sides made it into the deciding match.
In games during which all effort was left on the court, the Moths battled it out with minor premiers the Midgees while second-placed Mozzies took on the Flies.
In the first game, the Midgees proved again why they were the team to beat as they were able to come out victors by a margin of 12 points.
The other game was much close with the Flies able to cause an upset. They saw off the challenge of the second placed Mozzies in a hotly contested game by a small margin of two points, 37-25.
The organisers would like to invite all those who have been involved throughout the season to come to the barbecue at 6.30pm before the grand final gets underway with the Midgees taking on the Flies.
They also wanted to thank all of the helpers as well as the players who have helped set up and make the evenings run smoothly.
Golf
The competition moved into its second week in some warm and gale force winds.
The conditions did little to deter the ladies with a good number showing up to take part in the games.
Jan Young used the most of the conditions to her advantage as she burned up the course closely followed by Margeret Naseby.
The ball competition was won by Margaret Kook and Carolyn Martin.
The nine holes competition was won by Heather Mannes and Carolyn Rutledge runner-up.
This week the ladies take on the Par competition.
Group 20 knockout
Darlington Point Coleambally had two sides take part in the Paul Kelly Memorial knockout in Leeton over the weekend.
The under 18s side was the more successful.
The team lost their first game 12-0 to Yanco however they were able to bounce back and secure a semi-final position with a 22-0 win over Hay.
They take on Yanco again for a finals place this weekend at EW Moore Oval in Griffith starting at 4pm for a chance to take on the winner of Yenda and Tullibigeal Lakes United.
First grade had a more difficult time. They suffered a narrow loss to the Griffith Black & Whites 18 to 16 while they defeated Leeton by the same margin 14 to 12 and just missed a finals place. The focus now moves to round one when they take on Black & Whites at Darlington Point Sportsground on Saturday, April 8.
