The Under 11s netball side was the starring team for Coly on Saturday, taking the club’s only win for the day.
They combined well and displayed their developing skills to take a commanding 34-3 win, with Hannah Pound and Elise Munro winning the awards
The closest game for the day was during the A Reserve match, which saw the Coly girls stay with The Rock until the second half of the final quarter.
The Magpies flew away with the win, but Kat Creek’s consistent effort in the mid court and Kate Millson’s effective defensive game saw them both pick up awards.
The A grade was very undermanned and were soundly defeated taking on a determined The Rock side.
Their game saw all girls put in a big effort to try and keep the score respectable.
Maddie Mannes was awarded best on for Coly by the umpires with Lauren Pound being voted Player’s Player for her tireless effort in goal attack. Both the B and C sides were also soundly defeated by their opponents.
The award winners for the C grade game were Jina Filmer and Tess Mader, who was voted Player’s Player by her peers. The B grade put together some great passages of play but just couldn’t stop the accuracy of The Rock’s shooters.
The award for best on went to Eleanor Cleary, while the player’s player award was shared between Kate Tupuo and Molly Harper. The under 15s were outplayed by a skillful Griffith White team, but despite being convincingly defeated the girls played well, with Sarah Graham taking home the award.
