Murray missed out on a couple in the match stats, which credited him with five goals, as TRYC bounced back from their loss to Temora to win 21.16 (142) to 11.8 (74).
Coleambally coach Michael Griffiths, led from the front for his side.
“Derek kicked seven goals. He found his range, he had a good game,” TRYC coach Tom Yates said.
“The boys lowered their eyes a bit and we were able to hit the guys up forward.”
The Pies led throughout but it was only after half-time that they were able to put the game beyond doubt, kicking clear with a seven-goal third quarter.
“It was good to get the four points – Coly out there, it’s always hard,” Yates said.
The coach was pleased with their pressure, especially from Jordan Kemp and Aaron Myers, while reliable ruckman Lachie Hunter continued his consistent season.
