Unsung volunteer Ian Eddie was a popular recipient of a President’s Award at the annual event, with the long-time member accepting the honour from outgoing president Trent Gardiner.
The award was for service to the Lions Club and the community for mowing the lawns and maintaining the Lions Park for the past 12 years.
One of the club’s greatest achievements over the past 12 months came to a head with the unveiling of the Coleambally Pioneers’ Monument at John McInnes Square during July 2016.
Coleambally Lions Club meets on the first and third Thursday of each month at Coleambally Community Club at 7pm.
Lions clubs are community organisations that seek to meet the needs of local communities.
