Nominations for council closed at midday on Wednesday.
Both the Jerilderie and Murrumbidgee East wards are uncontested, with three candidates standing in both.
In Murrumbidgee Ward, however, six candidates are vying for three seats on the first council since the controversial local government merger was enforced last year.
In Jerilderie, Faith Bryce, former Jerilderie mayor Ruth McRae and Gaila Smith will be elected, while Coleambally will be represented by Robert Black, Christine Chirgwin and former Murrumbidgee mayor Austin Evans in Murrumbidgee East.
All served on their respective councils prior to the merger and have been members of the local representation committee since the dissolution.
Come September 9, residents will whittle the six Darlington Point-based candidates down to three councillors for Murrumbidgee Ward.
Previous Murrumbidgee Shire councillors, former deputy mayor Phillip Wells, Gavin Gilbert and Robert Curphey will face off against new contenders Allan Strachan, Paul Goodsall and Gordon Beaumont.
Mr Wells drew prime position with first place on the ballot when the draw was held on Wednesday night.
Pre-polling opens on Monday, August 28, at the Darlington Point CWA Hall in McAlister Street.
