From the very first whistle the local girls had to face some very fierce defence from the Saints forcing them to make uncharacteristic mistakes.
Each of Coly girls tried hard, not giving up until the final whistle, however the North Wagga side was just too strong taking the win comfortably.
Maddie Mannes played an effective game on the wing, displaying some great positioning and passing, working overtime to deliver the ball to her shooters.
Brianna Clark also played a determined game, working hard through the centre court in both a defensive and attacking roles.
The team will now use the week to regroup and prepare for their second chance game in which they will play Barallan on Sunday in Wagga.
We wish them all the best.
Two of our junior Netballers, Giaan Cullen and Sally Foster were invited to attend the SWJ league presentation on Sunday.
Both girls polling extremely well in a very close count in their respective age groups.
Sally Foster finished as runners up best and fairest in the under 15s, missing the top position by only one vote to Paige Kenny from Barellan.
Giaan Cullen was also involved in a close count coming in third place by only two votes.
These are fantastic results and the club would like to congratulate the girls.
CFNC will be hosting the SWJ Grand final on Saturday, this will be the first time Coly has had this opportunity.
Anyone who hasn’t already volunteered their help and would like to give some time to this event please contact Danny Graham or Nickolle Cullen.
