However, there were a few netballers still doing the Coleambally Football and Netball Club proud.
The Marilyn Brooks Medal for A grade netball season best and fairest was once again claimed by Ruby Porter, making it back-to-back medal wins.
The gun player won it last year with North Wagga, backing it up for the 2017 season to win at EWK.
Despite missing out on the big dance at the peak of the finals, the Lady Blues were well represented on the night in the A grade count.
Jemma Pound finished just two votes behind the impressive Porter, a nod to the terrific season she had.
While Pound has been instrumental in Coly’s late-season charge, she also had quality support from Brianna Clark, who finished among the leaders with 14 votes.
Final leaderboard: Ruby Porter (EWK) 23, Jemma Pound (Coly) 21, Claudia Barton (Jets) 20, Bridgette Keely (Barellan) 19, Tessa Godbee (North Wagga) 18, Brianna Clark (Coly) 14.

Haddrill claims surprising Clear Medal
TALENTED Northern Jets midfielder Mitch Haddrill claimed his first Gerald Clear Medal on Wednesday night.
Haddrill topped a star-studded leaderboard to claim a surprise victory at the Farrer League presentation night at The Rules Club.
Haddrill, who is on holidays, was not in attendance at the awards ceremony.
The 23-year-old overcame a slow start to the season due to injury to win the Clear Medal by three votes from The Rock-Yerong Creek ruckman Lachie Hunter.
Haddrill polled two votes in the Jets’ final round loss to East Wagga-Kooringal to seal the win. He finished with 19 votes, ahead of Hunter on 16.
Hunter was level with Haddrilll with three rounds to go but injured his knee in the Magpies win over Charles Sturt University and never played again.
Haddrill, who missed three games with a grade two medial ligament tear, did not poll a vote until round seven.
He then went on a roll, polling in nine of the Jets’ last 11 games to score a well-deserved win.
Haddrill went into last year’s count as favourite after winning the 2016 Farrer League Player of the Year award, but finished fourth.
Coleambally players failed to feature on the leaderboard during the evening.
However, Ryan Mannes, Tom Mannes, Harry Tooth, Sam Breed, Chris Hayes and Jack Cullen were recognised for their interleague selection in May.
