Formed in 1976, the Coleambally Rescue Squad takes much pride in its highly trained service and with the knowledge of all aspects of rescue on both land and water.
All members enjoy the time and service put into helping the local community, the comradeship and friendship formed between members, as well as between other emergency services and the satisfaction in knowing they have made a difference to others is taken with much pride.
But it’s not all doom and gloom in helping rescue with accidents and emergencies.
Members also enjoy a multitude of other activities, volunteering their services to other local activities by way of manning gates at venues, providing first aid at social activities, organising Santa’s Xmas Eve visits and creating social relationships with organisations.
Training in aspects of rescue and first aid is also enjoyed by members, with various activities organised throughout the year in preparation for any emergency which may occur.
The local Rescue Squad is presently recruiting new members and encourage all members of all genres the community to join in a worthwhile, responsible organisation.
