It may seem a long way off, but the township of Coleambally turns 50 on June 21, 2018 and it will be here before we know it.
Many will recall the excitement of the day the town was proclaimed. The town with its facilities has continued to develop and progress to what it is today. Through hard work and commitment, Coly has become a vibrant town.
Every ten years Coleambally has celebrated its successful establishment and it would be only appropriate to do so again for its 50th.
The Coleambally Town-Life Committee are calling for expressions of interest to form a 50th anniversary of Coleambally committee.
If you are interested in being part of this committee, please fill out an expression of interest form at the Coleambally Shire office before Friday April 15, 2016. This form can be emailed to you. This Committee will take on the role of setting the date for the celebrations, organising activities etc.
You do not need to be over 18 to join this committee. A meeting will be called shortly after April 15 to formally establish the committee and get the ball rolling.
