The men’s singles semi-final between Deric Dykman & Peter Jones was played on Saturday morning at the Darlington Points Sports Club and Jones ran out the convincing winner.
The other semi-final was a battle of the Kings with Bill pitted against Rohan.
The score progressed to 30-all with Bill the next to score which claimed the match.
Jones now has to bowl off against King who is waiting for him in the Final.
The ladies played the first round of their triples championships on Saturday morning.
After a close battle, the team of Joy Birmingham, Joe Curphey and Jean Jones ran out the winners over Irene Williams, Heather Agistino and Tracie Ewan.
The winners will now play Margaret King, Norma Schiel and Marlene Kelly in the final.
On Sunday, Darlington Point played hosts to Hay in the No.4 pennant.
They won all three rinks which has enabled The Point to take a strangle hold on second spot behind the leaders Narrandera.
Best performed teams for Darlington Point were Steve Hoffman’s and Peter Jones’ teams which both had winning margins of 23 shots.
Darlington Point also hosted the No.7 pennant against Whitton.
Darlington Point were short a player again with Waric Parnell starting the fours game with three players.
Unfortunately one of his players Karl Vanstyn had to retire ill with Parnell finishing up two players short.
Whitton had a convincing win.
This match could have been the battle for the wooden spoon but Darlington Point can take some consolation in the fact that they have won a rink each week.
Trevor Hornery had won two weeks running.
