Coleambally Community Hall became an artist’s studio on June 4-5 as artists of all ages from Coleambally, Jerilderie, Darlington Point and Leeton took advantage of a wonderful two day workshop with acrylic artist, Linda MacAulay, from Melbourne.
The participants greatly enjoyed the experience as they learned so many new skills and tips from Ms MacAulay about working with acrylic paints. This opportunity would not have been possible without the support of the CASP grant which was applied for by the Coleambally Town Life committee with the assistance of Western Riverina Arts.
Thanks go to Kerri Weymouth and Trudi Chant for their roles in organising the weekend. Linda MacAulay will be back for the Taste Coleambally Food and Farm Festival on October 21-13 and will be running more workshops. Ms MacAulay along with Derek Motion, RADO, will be judging the art competition with winners announced at the opening Cocktail Party at the art exhibition on October 21. Entry forms will be available on the website www.farm2food.net
