CFNC Football Report – reserve grade and under 17s
The reserve grade Blues battled hard in the mud against their more fancied opponents, making them earn every possession.
Mitch Dunbar and Jimmy Star were the Blues best in the middle working tirelessly all day. While Glen Eddie and Anthony Mannes were solid in defence.
Sam Casey and Lawrence Graham tried hard up forward each kicking a goal. Lachlan Vogan also deserves credit for his efforts in the ruck.
The final score was The Rock 11.12 (78) to the Blues 3.1 (19).
Goal Kickers were Jimmy Star, Lawrence Graham and Sam Casey.
The under 17s made the trip to Marrer on Saturday to play the Bombers.
The undermanned Blues pushed the Bombers all game but couldn’t match them on the scoreboard. The final score Marrer 8.15 (61) to Blues 1.3 (9) The Blues only goal kicker was Darcy Mader.
Coly’s best for the game included Darcy Mader, Tim Hayes, Cooper Smith, Tom Mannes and George Payne.
