Two weeks ago was the Country Vets/stroke competition for the Coleambally lady golfers.
It was played in some very pleasing conditions.
The winner of the stroke competition was Margaret King with Debbie Heath runner-up.
The ball competition was won by Margaret Naseby, Fay Schliebs and June Shields.
The drive and chip was won by Debbie Heath with a gobble birdie.
That wasn’t the end of the spectacular though.
June Shields also had a gobble birdie on another hole on what was a thrilling day out on the greens.
Margie Kook won the raffle.
The Country Vet Championship scratch winners were:
Division 1: Margaret Naseby.
Division 2: June Shields.
Division 3: Debbie Heath.
The Country Vet nett winners were:
Division 1: Fay Schleibs.
Division 2: Eve Kerr.
Division 3: Margaret King.
The Senior vet was Carolyn Martin.
Elaine Gorey won the 9 hole event last week and the runner-up was Cathy Callaghan.
This week was the Stableford/meeting.
There were some huge congratulations to go around as well this week.
The Pennant ladies showed they can match it with the best of them.
They had another great win which was enough to gain them a place in in the Pennant finals.
Well done girls, you played your hearts out.
This Tuesday they had Penny Graeber from Thurgoona give us plenty to think about when she gave the group a few hours coaching on a beautiful day.
The ladies also played a few holes to see if they could take in what they were told and put it into practice.
The raffle was won by Heather Mannes.
Things continue to heat up on the greens in the coming weeks.
June 14 is the first round of the Coleambally Championships.
Good luck to everyone involved on what will no doubt be a hotly contested event throughout the day.
