Community information sessions have been set for this week on how the new Murrumbidgee Council is being created. Meetings will be held in Darlington Point, Jerilderie and Coleambally.
The communities of Darlington Point, Coleambally and Jerilderie are invited to information sessions with Murrumbidgee Council administrator, Austin Evans, and interim general manager Craig Moffitt.
Meetings will be held at the following venues, commencing 6.30pm:
Darlington Point Club, (6 Demamiel Street, Darlington Point) Tuesday, June 7.
Jerilderie Civic Hall, (33 Jerilderie Street, Jerilderie) Wednesday, June 8.
Coleambally Community Club (3 Falcon Road, Coleambally) Thursday, June 9.
The information sessions will provide the community with an opportunity to hear how the merger is being implemented, meet members of the Local Representation Committee and provide a forum to answer community questions.
Details will also be provided on the Stronger Community Fund of $10 million for infrastructure works.
